Kimberly Hart is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been in the professional therapy field for four years. She is a graduate of Campbellsville University’s (Louisville, KY) COAMFTE accredited masters program where she studied for three years. Before pursuing her masters degree, Kimberly was a counselor for a community based outreach center for 10 years. Kimberly’s undergrad was in Criminal Justice and Criminology where she also played volleyball as a college athlete and understands the stress of managing sports and school. She currently specializes in individual, family, and couples therapy for adults and adolescents/teenagers (ages 14-19.) Her specific areas of focus are in emotional and behavioral difficulties, anxiety, depression, communication struggles, and trauma. She also has experience in working with first responders and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP.)
Kimberly’s therapeutic approach is to create an environment where clients can work to become the best version of themselves. She believes that everyone has the ability to heal from whatever storms life creates, leaving them not only to survive but thrive. Kimberly’s technique is to evaluate and listen to everything her clients need to address, then come up with a treatment that they are a part and take ownership of. Setting goals and working toward them is also an important aspect of Kimberly’s sessions. She makes sure her clients are validated, heard, and empowered.
“Life can be crazy. It can lead you to feel alone, hopeless, and ridden with fear. Together, we can overcome these obstacles by processing and learning through these difficult times. I would like my clients to walk away from our sessions knowing that they attained necessary and useful skills to help them manage their life in a successful and fulfilling way.”
