Katie Patterson

Katie Patterson has B. A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Hospitality
and Tourism Management from Strayer University. Katie also has two degrees from the
Community College of the Air Force in the fields of Hospitality and Fitness, as well as Social
Services.
Katie is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. She served 13 years until
retiring in 2019. During her time in service she deployed to the Middle East 4 times, visited
numerous countries, and lived in at least 6 different states. Early in her military career she
worked in various service management occupations. Later in her military career Katie pivoted
to a role working with as a Chaplain Assistant. In this role she was able to organize and
oversee many basewide events for other Airmen, their families, as well as senior leadership to
enjoy. After retiring Katie decided to relocate with her family to Valparaiso to be closer to her
hometown of Rensselaer Indiana.
In her free time Katie enjoys spending time with her friend and family. She also enjoys
volunteering and fitness. Katie has sponsored a child in the I Run 4 program for almost 5 years.
She enjoys running and has completed over 50 5k’s, 10k’s, and half marathons. Katie has
also completed multiple Spartan Races. One of her other biggest passions is baking. Katie
loves baking delicious goods for her friends, family, and neighbors.
